Equipment for early season camps was passed out monday morning.  If you missed it and need equipment for an early summer camp, you should contact Coach Tracey.  The next time equipment will be issued will be for players who plan to attend the Winning Edge Camp in August.

When asked about football camps that I am unfamiliar with, I often use the analogy of "it's like hitting golf balls into a net. It seems good but you never really know for sure." It is for this reason, that I am reluctant to recommend camps that have no first hand knowledge of.

The camp will be held from August 10th - 13th on the campus of Lincoln Sudbury High School. The camp runs from 8:30 am - 12:00 pm and features individual offensive and defensive sessions as well as group and team work with other schools. The cost of the camp is $195.00

I believe any player who attends will be satified with what they have learned and will come away a better player. I can't think of a better way to prepare yourself for the season. You can get camp brochures from either coach Davis or coach Tracey.

Science has discovered why geese fly in a perfect "V" formation.  As each individual bird flaps its wings, it creates uplift for the bird immediately following.  By flying in a "V" formation, the flock adds at least 71% greater flying range than if a bird flew alone.

Whenever a goose falls out of the formation, it feels the drag and resistance of flying alone and will quickly get back into formation to take advantage of the lifting power provided by the bird in front.  When the lead goose gets tired, he rotates back in the wing and lets another goose pick up the point.  The geese behind all honk to encourage those up front to keep up their speed.

Finally, when a goose is hurt or wounded, two geese will instinctively fall out of formation and follow it down to help and protect it.  They will stay with the goose until it dies or is able to fly.  They will take off on their own or catch another formation to catch up with their group.

If football players are as smart as geese, they will share a common sense of direction, fight to help each other succeed, stay in formation, encourage from behind and stay with their coaches and teammates with unconditional loyalty.
